Original house: 925 Sq. Ft. Craftsman Style Bungalow.

This 1910 Craftsman Style Bungalow was originally 800 Sq. Ft. and through the years little bits of area were added on: the front porch was enclosed to create a sitting area and a library, the attic was turned into a living space with very low ceilings, the back porch was enclosed to house the laundry area and kitchen after pushing those rooms out to add a small bedroom downstairs. These changes were made without permits. The original house sat on the east end of the lot, a 50′ x 120′ corner lot, with alley access and a lot of open and unused area all around. The solution we proposed left the existing house exactly the same way it was and the addition was to continue toward the back of the lot ending with a garage facing the alley. The final house is a 2-story 3,500 Sq. Ft. house.
